Featured on WatchMojo: 10 Best Summer TV Shows That Aren’t on Your Radar (2018). (Review is for the first two seasons only) I came into this series not expecting to like it, but the plot, acting, and cinematography are excellent. It’s basically mob wars in Montana with occasional huge doses of testosterone (cowboys with guns on horseback fishing)!

The scenes involving Rip

The show is at its best when it shows the chessboard moving as the Duttons and their enemies get involved. The show gets a bit stilted at the beginning of season two, but picks up again halfway through. Kelsey Asbille is the weakest link as Monica and plays the poor hand badly, the storyline falls apart awkwardly, and the acting just doesn’t add up.

Thomas Rainwater is also great

The plot hums along and the scenery is beautiful. Just as Cormac McCarthy’s "All the Pretty Horses" was a bit rawer and more violent than the title suggests, this show is similarly stunning. I highly recommend it and wish I hadn’t waited so long to watch it.
