A Jewish wedding photographer falls in love with a klezmer clarinetist and pretends to be making a documentary so he can spend time with her. His fake project takes him on a real journey through Eastern Europe, searching for lost klezmer melodies and remnants of Yiddish culture. A hybrid documentary-fiction. Awarded Best First Feature Film at the Berlin Film Festival.
