Chronology

The Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes his living from hit-and-runs for the highest fee. He soon meets a determined British intelligence officer who tracks him down in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe. The novel “Day of the Jackal” was set in 1963 and involved the assassination of then-French President Charles de Gaulle.

I love everything about Eddie Redmayne

The show moves the setting to the present era. Link Graham Norton and guest stars: Denzel Washington / Paul Mescal / Saoirse Ronan / Eddie Redmayne / Blossoms (2024). He has a vulnerability that just makes me want to dig deeper into the characters.

Neither her acting nor her screen persona is worthy

As a cold-blooded killer here, it’s a stretch, IMHO, but it makes sense as a “hide in plain sight” type of thing. As others have pointed out, the female lead just ruined it for me. Why she keeps getting cast in female roles is a mystery to me.

Her character doesn’t help her case either

We have so many other talented actresses to choose from. I didn’t think much of her in Captain Marvel, I didn’t like her having the number 007, and now she ruins every scene every time she appears. I’ll see the series through to the end, but…

Season 2 has already been renewed

it’s sad that this series won’t be re-watched. I don’t know how the story will turn out yet, but I hope Bianca changes the character in some way.
