This is a fantastic movie

During the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany, an American sports broadcast team must adjust to live coverage of Israeli athletes being held hostage by a terrorist group. We saw it at a Secret Movie night at Cinemark, and it was one of the best we have ever seen.

The movie starts with actual footage clips from the 1972 Olympics in Munich, Germany

I am old enough to remember the Black September terrorist attack, but not the details. Soon the movie focuses on the development of events with the hostage situation and terrorists and how the ABC Sports crew covered them.

Once the story shifts to those events, it is non-stop action and tension

Seeing the control room and the technical aspects that go into producing a live television show was very interesting, especially when all the action starts. Watching the change in attitudes and questions of politics and morality made for a very thoughtful viewing of the movie.

While some Secret Movies aren’t worth the $5, this movie was well worth the full price of admission

Even though the theater had comfortable reclining seats, I was on the edge of my seat for most of the movie.
