After a traumatic incident during his residency, young medical student James Hayman (Namir Smallwood) is transferred to a rural hospital for a fresh start. Dr. Harrison (actor and actress Michael Potts) notices that James is having trouble connecting with patients and suggests that he take a course that addresses bedwetting and facilitates closer relationships with patients. The demons of James’ past begin to catch up with him when a young asthma patient (Sidney Flanigan, NEVER SOMETIMES) overwhelms him with mysterious symptoms. His grip on reality begins to slip as his disturbing nightmares, anxious speculations, and physical injuries collide with the harsh realities of the medical world. Following in the footsteps of SAINT FRANCES and GHOSTLIGHT, director Alex Thompson assembles a strong cast of veteran actors to create this humanistic and unconventional vision of the genre.
