Following a traumatic incident, young medical student James Hayman (Namir Smallwood) moves to a rural hospital to start over. Dr. Harrison (veteran stage and screen actor Michael Potts) suggests he take a class that focuses on good patient manners and building a deeper connection with patients. The demons of James’ past begin to catch up with him when he is plagued by the case of a young asthmatic patient (Sidney Flanigan, NEVER RARE SOMETIMES ALWAYS) who exhibits mysterious symptoms. His grip on reality begins to weaken as his disturbing nightmares, anxious speculations and physical injuries collide with the harsh realities of medicine. Director Alex Thompson assembles a strong cast of veteran actors in this humanistic, offbeat take on the genre, following in the footsteps of SAINT FRANCES and the precursor to GHOSTLIGHT.
