Exploring the unlikely rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands, Mufasa: The Lion King enlists Rafiki to pass on the legend of Mufasa to a young lion cub, Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, with Timon and Pumbaa lending their signature dagger. Told in flashbacks, Mufasa is an orphaned cub, lost and alone until he meets a charming lion named Taka – heir to the royal family. A chance encounter sets off a long journey for the unlikely band of outcasts in search of their destiny – their bonds will be tested as they work together to evade a dangerous and deadly enemy.
