Recalled in the prosecutor’s office: Episode 26 – ACOLITE DISASTER!
A couple’s life is turned upside down when their daughter joins the scandalous star’s team.
Could this be the end of DISNEY STAR WARS?
(2024).
Rating: 76 Overall, a pretty good psychological thriller, well thought out and showing how jealousy affects family dynamics/relationships, all supported by a good performance by Daisy Ridley and a well-done climax
Pretty Good Directing (on a macro scale the directing is good because it sets up the conflict well and plants the roots of horror/thriller throughout the film; on a micro scale the directing is pretty good because you can really see the family dynamics and the relationships between the characters within the interpersonal walls; the storytelling is good because you really care about what happens next, while also slowly unraveling the conflict because the tension is well built; it keeps the viewer’s attention (especially in the climax)), Pretty Good Acting (good Daisy Ridley (really shows a range of emotions and lots of charisma in the lead role), Pretty Good Shazad Latif (good acting by Ridley, but a bit too overtly villainous (though still pretty good)), Pretty Good Matilda Lutz (shows some separation from the two leads, but she’s held together by her individuality), Pretty to Fair Compared to the Rest of the Cast (everyone plays their part well, but it’s really about the three leads)), Pretty Good to Good Story (The concept is quite interesting because it combines horror concepts around family dynamics and relationships; the plot structure is well thought out; the transitions between episodes are good; the characters are written quite well because you really know who Daisy Ridley’s character is, but everything else is a bit open), the script is quite good (the dialogues are quite good (some amateur lines); the symbolism is quite common because the movie centers around a family dynamic and also deals with the topic of mental illness, it is very good because it is a key element of the story), the music is quite good (helps set the tone), quite; good cinematography (a lot of well-executed shots that build tension and create the loneliness of the world (especially when it comes to reflection)), decent editing, pretty good sound (helps build tension), the pacing is good because the movie seems to have the right pace, the climax is well-executed, as it shows what they wanted to create in the whole movie, the tone is very similar to other psychological thrillers, we saw the world premiere at SXSW.
