Paddington returns to Peru to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now lives at the home for retired bears. With the Brown family in tow, a thrilling adventure begins when a secret plunges them into an unexpected journey. The director of the previous two films, Paul King, decided not to direct this installment. However, he came up with the idea for this third film and was involved as an executive producer. Paddington in Peru is a great, entertaining film, although the weakest of the three Paddington films. It looks great on the big screen, the scenery and locations are beautiful, and the CGI of the bears looks great. The acting and story are fine, nothing groundbreaking or better than the previous two films, but the charm of those two is lacking in this third. I still had a lot of fun watching it. It had some funny moments and is an entertaining family film. It is a bit silly at times, but that would have worked if the charm was there. Overall, it is still a great film that is worth seeing in the cinema.
