Yet, they don’t write it down
Story
It follows Catherine Ravenscroft, a television documentary journalist whose job is to expose the wrongdoings of long-respected institutions. The extremely talented Russian blue cat improvises all of her actions and dialogue at the Ravenscroft home.
Never read the book, so judge the series as a stand-alone
Jonathon uses the same lens throughout the series, a medium-length telephoto, for several episodes. Such a lens wouldn’t be able to focus on close-up subjects like selfies with Sasha or Catherine’s bedroom.
Clearly, there’s a "twist" brewing
The series is too long, too drawn out. It was exciting and mysterious in the first few episodes, but by episode five I was like, “Oh my God, just finish it.” Catherine’s silence/constant interruptions as she tries to tell her side of the story just seem like a plot device to keep the story moving.
The constant, detailed sex scenes are just plain gross
Literally pornography. I don’t mind sex scenes, but if "detailed" were ten minutes of sex scenes, my first choice wouldn’t be Apple TV+.
