Arcane tells the story of two young orphaned sisters growing up and getting into trouble in the twin cities of Zaun and Piltover. The series is based on the video game League of Legends, and while it drops you directly into that fictional world, the necessary time and care is taken to set up the locations and characters in a commendable show-don’t-tell fashion. The solid character development and world-building mean it’s a thoroughly enjoyable watch even without knowing anything about the game. The animation is downright superb.
As an anime fan, I found the animation in Arcane to be more than anything I’ve ever seen from an animated series. It’s clear that no artistic talent or expense was spared in bringing the world of Runeterra to life. Great soundtrack, great acting, and a compelling story that doesn’t pull any punches when it comes to violence and more so with adult themes. So far, only the first three episodes have been released, and I can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us!.
When a loyal police dog and his human police officer owner are injured together on the job, a crazy but life-saving surgery fuses them together and Dog Man is born. This is the life-affirming message of Spirit World: that the creative impulse can bear fruit to heal familial ties, when it is exercised with selfless intent.From a technical standpoint, Spirit World ticks all the boxes of audience engagement. The likeable performances draw you in, the beautiful Takasaki and Chiba landscapes (and seascapes) provide pure eye candy, and a tribute is paid to the musical artists of the 60s and 70s, a golden age of creativity that might never be witnessed again.

In the opening credits, the letters of the cast and crew’s names are highlighted in green to represent chemical element symbols. However, the “Ch” in Michael Slovis’ name was highlighted in several early episodes, even though Ch is not a chemical element symbol.

I was more fascinated by the makers' attention to detail in carving out a Bombay that goes against the popular image and instead shows you its cloying nature.
I was able to relate to the characters, having lived in Bombay for decades, but the film does go a bit haywire towards the end, and you could blame it on me I lost track there.

This is normal for terminals in the Data General Dasher D2 series, which these appear to be.. Edit* Episode 9 S1 is one of the greatest TV eps I've seen from a serialized show, still telling the story but it shines so much brighter.
And deserves awards and recognition for it.Only two episodes are out. So I'm going to keep this very short for now and update with a full review at the end of the series.All I'll spoil, because I went into the plot blind before watching.
Only going by the actors/director, stiller is still one of few unique film makers in hollyweird that can pull in great actors and decent budgets. Can't wait for the world building.Just give this one a chance, so far it's not political or effected by the real world.
